valcani is an independent magazine for fashion, jewellery and watches. We write about collections and cloth, carats and gemstones, movements and complications, bridal rings and fine leather, and about the designers, goldsmiths and boutiques who make all of it possible.
Looking closely
Luxury is easy to photograph and hard to explain. We prefer explanation: what a hallmark tells you, why a canvas jacket moulds to the body, how a balance wheel keeps time, which necklace length frames a neckline. Our stories stay with what is well established and leave out what we cannot vouch for.
What we cover
Jewellery is our largest section, followed by fashion, then watches and accessories. Bridal runs through the magazine as a theme of its own, because it is where jewellery and fashion meet their most meaningful moment. Under People and Brands we portray the craft and the people behind independent labels, workshops and boutiques.
About our images and films
The photographs in this magazine are either licensed stock photography or illustrations created with an AI image generator; our short films are created with an AI video generator. AI images carry a small “AI generated” label in the corner, so you always know what you are looking at.
